Principal's Message

Welcome to Crockett Elementary!

Mrs. LaKeysha Boleware is honored to serve as the principal of Crockett Elementary, bringing more than a decade of experience as an educator and instructional leader in Houston ISD. Her career began as a math tutor and teacher, where she quickly established herself as a champion for rigorous instruction and student success. Over the years, she has served in many roles such as department chair, instructional specialist, and assistant principal, each preparing her to lead with vision, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.

As an assistant principal, Mrs. Boleware successfully expanded access to advanced academics and helped her campus earn a TEA “A” rating and a Math Distinction from the Texas Education Agency. She also guided data-driven professional learning communities and built systems to monitor and celebrate student progress. Her leadership has always been rooted in the belief that every child can achieve at high levels when supported by strong instruction, meaningful relationships, and a safe, nurturing environment.

She believes education is not only about academics but also about developing well-rounded individuals who are curious, resilient, and prepared for the future. At Crockett Elementary, she is dedicated to fostering a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and community partnership, ensuring that every student feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.
